The Mount Vernon has long been an East Somerville tradition. With its cozy dining rooms, comfortable pub, and private function areas, the Mount Vernon has hosted many dinners for families and friends since 1935. Not only a landmark for drivers on 93 South, the Mount Vernon is a landmark for serving quality food with reasonable prices and professional service to the Greater Boston Community for 75 years.

Today, the Henry Family continues to serve many of our long-time patrons as well as our new neighbors and friends. Voted Number One repeatedly by the City of Somerville as “Best Overall Restaurant,” the Mount Vernon prides itself in being able to provide a menu that is as diverse as the customers whom frequent the restaurant. Although famous for our “Twin Lobster Special,” you can still find some of the best steaks and chops around. The seafood selections include; fresh shrimp, scallops, haddock, clams, salmon, tuna, and much, much more. And, despite being less than two miles from the famous North End, the Mount Vernon has many regulars whom frequent the restaurant for its pastas and other Italian dishes.

In addition to its extensive menu, the Mount Vernon pub is anchored by a beautiful horseshoe bar in which the bartenders serve and entertain you. Whether out with friends or watching one of Boston’s many sports teams on our flat-screen televisions, you can enjoy one of our 14 draft beers in an ice cold glass or a roast beef sandwich carved for you right behind the bar by your friendly bartender.

Mount Vernon has become a tradition for many of our guests, and the Henry Family has seen young children grow up, only to watch them bring their own children in to enjoy the Mount Vernon experience. We have hosted thousands of functions, including birthday parties, anniversaries, communions, even weddings, and with three function rooms, we can accommodate private functions of almost any size.
